This is my guide on how to play Caesar 3 Augustus on Mac (M1, M2 & M3). I run Caesar 3 on a Macbook Air M1(Sonama Mac OS) with CrossOver and Parallels Desktop. The game ran fine as I was playing on Windows without any errors or problems.
Note: Caesar 3 Augustus patch allows HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 widescreen along with Zoom in & out feature and little gameplay enhancements.
Play Caesar 3 Augustus on Mac (M1, M2 & M3)
Below are the methods to play Caesar 3 Augustus on Mac (M1, M2 & M3) using CrossOver and Parallel Desktops.
CrossOver
Steps to play Caesar 3 with CrossOver on Mac:
1: Download the Caesar 3 Zip File.
2: Extract the files.
3: Download Augustus files to play on 1920 x 1080 with Zoom in & out and other gameplay enhancements.
4: Copy & paste the Augustus files to the Caesar 3 folder.
5: Download and Install CrossOver:
6: Go to the Caesar 3 game folder and run augustus.exe.
7: Under Unlisted application, click on “Install”.
8: Write “Caesar 3” on the new Bottle Name and Select “Windows XP 64-Bit” as a new Bottle Type. Afterward, click on “Done” to proceed.
9: The game will start automatically.

Parallels Desktop
Follow the steps to play Caesar 3 on Mac using Parallels Desktop:
- Download and Install Parallels Desktop on your Macbook Air M1.
- Open Parallels Desktop.
- Install Caesar 3 from Steam or any other source on Windows using Parallels Desktop.
- Run Caesar 3 and enjoy.
Note: You can also use the Caesar 3 Augustus files here for widescreen and other game enhancements, similar to the CrossOver.
Play Caesar 3 Online (on Browser) on Mac
The other alternative to Parallels Desktop and Crossover is online via browser. The Caesar 3 online version is free and can be run on any browser. You can try it on any MacOS system.
